My Clasroom and a Quick Opinion Piece Freebie

I always enjoy peeking into other classrooms and seeing how other teachers decorate/set up the room. So, I figured why not share what my room looks like.

The back of our room, which includes our word wall (I add words as we read each story in our Trophies curriculum, which explains why it's pretty much bare). If you look very closely, you can also see my Keurig! Love it!!

This week, in writing, we are working on opinion pieces. This hits the Common Core standard W.1.1 for first grade....yes, I already have that memorized. Today we focused on our favorite foods. I am including the worksheet I gave the students below as well as our brainstorming web. We have a poster maker at my school, so I was able to really enlarge it. See pic below! :) Love that machine!
