Have you heard of Whole Brain Teaching?! I recently discovered their website and I'm in love with some of their strategies! Here's their site: http://wholebrainteaching.com/. My FAVORITE (and honestly the only one I've tried) is "teach-ok." I am definitely over-using it in my classroom right now, but I can't help it. And my kids looooove it! I think that is their most popular strategy is "class-yes," but I haven't tried that yet. Stay tuned...I plan on trying it soon. Here's a video I found on You Tube with some of the strategies.
This week, my class is working on nouns! I'll be posting some pics from the books we are creating later this week. So excited about them!

ReplyDeleteYes, I have heard of Whole Brain Teaching! In fact, I'll be blogging on that soon. Our whole system had an inservice about this last year. It was FABULOUS! One of the best workshops I have ever gone to in all these years! I incorporate the "class-yes" all the time! My kiddos LOVE it!!! Hope you have a terrific week! Oh, and I grabbed your button too! :)
